2. A person said that Pope Francis was going to make Mary,the 4th person of the Trinity.The TRINITY is DOCTRINE.The Pope CAN’T change doctrine.
3. The Catholic Church was founded on Jesus and the apostles and is 2 thousand yrs old.Someone said,no,it was pagan.
The person doesn’t say which pagan religion-just pagan. Our Apostles Creed:
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary; suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. I don’t know ANY pagan religion that accepts those beliefs.NONE.
4. IF Catholics worshiped the sun god we’d be out in our yards bowing down to the sun. Hasn’t happened yet.Don’t hold your breathe waiting.There is a festival for sun god worship.Look it up. We don’t attend.
5. Someone said priests are forbidden to marry. That would be true IF Catholic men had no choice but to be priests. Most Catholic men marry.You have to be called to marriage and you have to be called to be a priest. Eastern Catholic priests can be married. It’s a discipline.Not a doctrine. It could conceivably change but it hasn’t yet.
6. Yes,Jesus is truly present in the Eucharist. Someone said it was absurd. That’s exactly what the disciples of Jesus said and they left Him over the teaching. You think it takes faith to believe in Jesus. It takes an even greater leap of faith to accept His words re the Eucharist.Jesus asked the rest of the disciples if they also wished to leave Him-to walk away over the teaching.He asks us,do we also wish to walk away?
7. Yes, there were pedophile priests.The Church has sinners.
So how does pointing out the sins of Catholics disprove Catholicism?Jesus died on the cross for sins. It’s funny how we start picking out which sins and who He died for. Usually ours and not someone else’s.
We can talk about the pedophile priests in the Catholic Church but it’s always a topic someone brings up when they’ve run out of everything else and want to go for the throat. I’ll discuss it as long as we’re willing to have an honest discussion. Be prepared to face that it’s not limited to the Catholic Church either. The Church has gone miles to take care of it,make restitution to the victims;but 10 yrs from now anti Catholics will still fall back on this to attack the Church.Sometimes it’s not even real concern for the victims as much as a way to go after the Church.
I will be glad to have an HONEST discussion about it. It still does not disprove Catholicism. It just proves the Church has sinners. How could i not know-am a sinner.
8.Yes,Catholics,defend the Constitution in America. Nearly all the males in our family were members of the military. My dad fought in WWII. Many Catholic men/women have given their lives in defense of our country. 9. Mary is not equal to Jesus. Jesus is true God and true man. Mary is human.

I have believed for some time now if we respected and loved Mary as much as Jesus did we would have a greater respect for women,motherhood and the unborn.This is my opinion.
